Private sewing classes

If you would like more intense one-to-one learning then I also offer private sewing classes for 1 or more hours at certain times of the week, and Saturday mornings. Maybe you want to make an outfit for a special occasion and don’t have much time, or don’t want it to look homemade.

Or you might want to learn how to make a sewing pattern from your favourite clothes.

Curtain making or roman blinds are ideal for one-to-one, as they tend to take up the whole workroom!

I can teach the methods of interlined and hand finished headings. Also the measuring, estimation and calculation of pattern repeat. Cushions and covers too.

Then there are things like tailoring skills, Bridal and Couture techniques, or simply making your own children’s clothes or learning to work with stretch fabrics.

I can also help with your sewing machine problems, and teach you how to use an overlocker.
